Acting Director Appointed for the Nicholson School of Communication

directorArlen Chase, Ph.D., has been appointed as the acting director for the Nicholson School of Communication. Chase, an associate dean in the College of Sciences and a Pegasus Professor in the anthropology department, will lead the school in collaboration with NSC’s associate director, Boyd Lindsley, Ed.D., and radio-television associate professor, Tim Brown, Ph.D.

Together, they will continue to move forward the school’s many programs and initiatives and facilitate many developing projects, such as the delivery of the bachelor’s degree in communication and conflict, the global studies program and the potential move to the university’s downtown Orlando campus.

Chase will serve as acting director until a national search is conducted and the position has been permanently filled. Chase is replacing Dr. Robert C. Chandler who stepped down from his position as director of the Nicholson School of Communication.
