Valedictorian to major in broadcast journalism at UCF

Routt Catholic High School Principal Gale Thoroman will remember this year’s graduates for many things, but especially for their dedication to academics and community service.

“Our students accept the challenge. They want the tough classes,” Thoroman said.

Routt valedictorian Rachel White is going to the University of Central Florida to study broadcast journalism.

“I would like to be an anchor at a sports news station,” said White. “I have been thinking about broadcast journalism since grade school and last summer I went to a broadcasting workshop at Bradley University.”
