The Gold Knight Rises, Rise to LEAD 2014

Bgzqy4hCQAEpFjnCollege of Sciences Alumna, Lauren Berger, ’06 (aka the Intern Queen) will be the Key Note Speaker on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Student Union for Leadership Week 2014: “The Gold Knight Rises, Rise to LEAD 2014”.  Leadership Week will take place from February 24th through the 27th in the Student Union and various campus venues. Leadership Week events will benefit every Knight in all majors.  This is a week full of exciting leadership workshops, guest speakers, and opportunities to become a leader at the University of Central Florida.

Leadership Week is an initiative coordinated by the LEAD Scholars Program within Student Development and Enrollment Services. It is supported by Student Government Association, LEAD Students Association and numerous offices and departments throughout the University of Central Florida. Leadership Week was created to identify, recognize, and develop leadership among students, faculty, and staff.

Lauren Berger is known as “The Intern Queen” and Chief Executive Officer of InternQueen.com.  She is the author of the National Campus Best-Seller, ALL WORK NO PAY: Finding An Internship, Building Your Resume, Making Connections, and Gaining Job Experience (Ten Speed/Random House), and one of the nation’s most in-demand career/internship experts. She has been internationally recognized for her work with young people and her entrepreneurial spirit has attracted millions of job and internship seekers. Recently, Berger has been featured on The Today Show, Fox & Friends, The New York Times, The New York Post, Teen Vogue, Bloomberg, LA Weekly, and more. Berger started InternQueen.com in September of 2009 when she was 24 years old. She is from Clearwater, Florida and attended Countryside Highschool. Berger graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and her first job was working at Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills.
